Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Poland promotes Vocational Education
The Jawor engine factory will combine the latest industry standards with the idea of “Industry 4.0”, considered by many experts as the next industrial revolution. The facility will use ultramodern production and assembly solutions based on cooperating cyberphysical systems. Robotic, heavy, monotonous or exacting work will be done by machines. AR systems (Augmented Reality) will not only support production, but will also be used to remotely diagnose necessary repairs and to train employees on production
lines. In turn, IoT (Internet of Things) and intelligent system for data administration and
control of all plant equipment will include control over traffic maintenance and production.
The key to success of “Industry 4.0.” is vocational education. Therefore, since the very beginning, Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Poland invests in the long-term cooperation with technical schools and universities. The company has proposed internships for students and cooperates with the Centre for Vocational and Continuing Education in Jawor. MBMPL supported the Center by providing three brand new lathes produced by WELLER – a leading machinery company. The cooperation includes as well a series of trainings and technical support.
