A year of successful cooperation with the Regional Museum in Jawor.
“Jawor – a new chapter in the history of Mercedes-Benz” has been on display for over a year at the Regional Museum in Jawor. Crumple zones, ABS systems and airbags are just some of the breakthrough safety innovations that Mercedes invented. These are just, to name but a few, a long line of inventions created by the founders of Mercedes, Karl Benz and Gottlieb Daimler,135 years ago. Visitors will also learn the most crucial engines constructed by the three-pointed star company. At the exhibition you can admire (and touch) two of them – a replica of the world’s first high speed motor (called “standing clock”), patented April 3, 1885 and the most modern diesel engine, OM 654, which will be produced in the newly built Mercedes-Benz factory in Jawor. The exhibition enjoys enormous popularity, and it is most often visited by students of Lower Silesian schools, for whom this form of familiarity with the history of motorization is particularly attractive.
