Classic Mercedes cars at Poznań’s Retro Motor Show

More than 30 Mercedes-Benz cars from throughout the 20th century were on display at the Retro Motor Show exhibition held in Poznań on November 4-6, 2016. Over 1,000 sq. m. of exhibition space was collaboratively furnished by the Antique Mercedes Club (Klub Zabytkowych Mercedesów-KZM) and the Duda Cars dealership.

The Mercedes-Benz display at the Retro Motor Show was split into two sections. The Antique Mercedes Club (KZM) displayed 15 Mercedes cars built between 1934 and 1990, most of which were in “like new” condition despite their age.

“This is a very special event for us, KZM was founded exactly 15 years ago and we are extremely happy to be able to present our cars in front of such a big audience,”  said KZM vice-president Jarogniew Ratajczak.

Duda Cars, an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealership was responsible for the remaining 600 sq. m. of exhibition space. Among its top attractions was one of the 100 W209 CLK DTM AMG Coupés ever built. With an estimated value of 1.6 million PLN (approximately €380,000) the CLK DTM AMG was the most expensive car on display in the Mercedes-Benz area.

“The car is equipped with a 5439 cm3 V8 engine producing 582 hp with 800 Nm of maximum torque. Further, AMG modified the car’s pistons and enhanced the lubrication and cooling systems, and, most importantly, added a mechanical supercharger,” explained Łukasz Pełnikowski, a marketing specialist at Duda Cars.
