Mercedes-Benz invites you to the digital age: Open Day Digital & IT in Legnica 

Do you want to participate in the digital revolution and get to know the ultra-modern solutions of “Industry 4.0”. Work for the most prestigious brand of premium cars? Change motorization and produce engines of the future? 

September 7th this year The Digital & IT Open Day at Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Poland in Legnica will take place. The company invites everybody interested in working in the Digital & IT department at the Mercedes engine factory in Jawor. You will be able to listen to interesting lectures or talk to the company’s representatives about employment opportunities. 

 The opening of the factory is planned for June 2019. Until then, Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Poland intends to employ and train employees responsible for introducing, maintaining and developing innovative technological solutions in the Department of Digital & IT Production. Recruitment just started. Mercedes is looking for open, outside the box thinkers who want to connect their future with Digital & IT. 

 – We would like to invite all those who want to connect their future with new technologies to talk about a professional future in the Digital & IT Production Workshop: experienced experts, recent graduates as well as people who are just entering the labor market or looking a way forward to a professional career. We offer adaptation to the profession and training under the supervision of Daimler’s experts. – says Harry Slobodic, head of the Digital & IT department. 

The Open Day will be held on September 7th from 12.00-18.00 in the lobby of the Letia Business Center office building in Legnica. Experts from Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Poland and well-known influencers from the IT industry are waiting to talk to interested parties. They will present the Mercedes-Benz brand, the idea of ​​Industry 4.0 in the factory and the possibilities of work and development in the Department of Digital & IT Production. 

The special guest will be Paweł Pilarczyk, head of PCLab.pl, who will talk about digitization, artificial intelligence and robotics and their impact on the future of automotive production and the industry in general.
 

The Mercedes-Benz factory in Jawor is part of the fourth industrial revolution (Industry 4.0.), which aims to use super intelligent machines allowing real-time information management and digital production management. Modern, four-cylinder engines for hybrid vehicles and conventional drives will come from Mercedes-Benz plants around the world. The factory will be powered exclusively with renewable energy. The factory will employ 1,000 people.
