More than 40 historic Mercedes presented on June 22, 2019 in Jawor during the Elegance Competition. The jury consisting of Andreas Shenkel (CEO of Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Poland), Emilian Bera (Mayor of the City of Jawor), Andrzej Giera (President of Jawor Association of Automotive Lovers) and Joanna Piotrowicz-Dębicka (Director of the Jawor Culture Centre) awarded the most beautiful cars and outfits from the given era.
The event was part of the official program of StarDrive Poland 2019 organized for the eighth time by the Club of Historic Mercedes-Benz Poland. Cars could be admired at the Jawornik Recreation Center.
The rally was an excellent opportunity to meet many enthusiasts of historic motoring. For example, the director of the Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Poland Quality Department, Andreas Zawesky, appeared at the event together with his father Wolfgang. Gentlemen, sharing their common passion, a Mercedes R107, which specifically for this occasion was imported from Germany.
The W126 Mercedes was also presented in Jawor, the owner of which being the world-famous writer Stanisław Lem.
