The IT specialists market is very competitive. It is difficult to find employees to fulfill positions within it. That is why Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Poland started the “Girls GO Technology” project, addressed to high school students from the Jawor region. Its aim is to introduce girls to mathematical, technical and engineering sciences. Girls GO Technology is to show young people from Jawor that technology and science can be a fascinating adventure and ideal for a professional working career. One of the places where women will be able to develop their technical skills will be at the Mercedes factory in Jawor. I believe that in the near future, a part of the MBMPL team will be graduates from our program – says Ewa Łabno-Falęcka A project whose partners include Geek Girls Carrots and Randstad has been developed and consists of two stages. The first meeting allows to determine the strengths, predispositions and talents of the participants. Professional and personality tests are the inspiration for a conscious, responsible choice towards your own path of development. The second stage, consisting of a series of five monthly meetings, will be carried out with those students who have expressed their willingness to tie their future with the STEM industry (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics). During each meeting, which is divided into lectures and workshops, the girls will become acquainted, among other things with issues in the field of artificial intelligence, automation, project management and the situation within the labour market, the expectations of employers and their choice of studies.
